Care and housing of mice in specific pathogen free barrier- UT investigators:  $0.65/cage/day.

The mice are housed in micro-isolator cages on hepa-filtered racks; cages, food, and water are all autoclaved: weekly change-outs are performed within a biosafety cabinet.

Generation of transgenic mice by pronuclear injection- UT investigators:  $1695 plus $0.65/cage/day for cages resulting from embryo transfers.

By this process, approximately 30 potential founder mice will be generated.  Currently, our success rate is around 12 %.   If, however, following genotyping, there are no transgenics, a second series of injections will be done at no cost to the investigator (except for the per diems).

Gene targeting in mouse embryonic stem cells - UT investigators:  $1765 per construct.

Due to the unpredictable nature of different targeting constructs, there is no guarantee that any correctly targeted clones will be obtained.

Generation of chimeras by ES cell/blastocyst injection- UT investigators:  $1880 plus $0.65/cage/day for cages resulting from embryo transfers.

Cryopreservation of mouse embryos- UT investigators:  $80 per session.

Long term storage of cryopreserved embryos- UT investigators:  $20 per cane per year.  Note: one cane holds up to 8 straws.

Recovery of cryopreserved embryos- UT investigators:  $80/thawed straw plus $0.65/cage/day for cages generated from embryo transfers.

*All prices are subject to change.  Non-UT investigators should call for current pricing.  It is UT policy that internal UT investigators be given priority when scheduling projects.   This may result in delays for external users.
