Beckman Optra XL-I
Analytical Ultracentrifuge

Beckman Optra XL-I Analytical Ultracentrifuge - Solution Interaction Analysis Systems (sIA)
Because of its ability to quantitate the size and shape of macromolecules in solution, one of the most powerful methods for characterization of macromolecular interactions is Solution Interaction Analysis (sIA). The Optima™ XL-I analytical ultracentrifuge can use Scanning UV/Vis and Rayleigh Interference Optics. Sedimentation velocity or sedimentation equilibrium experiments are used to determine Stoichiometry and Shape, Equilibrium Constants, Sedimentation Coefficients, Diffusion Coefficients, and Apparent Weight Average Molecular Weights of proteins, DNA, RNA etc.

  Dynex MLX Luminometer
Dynex MLX Microplate Luminometer
The luminometer measures chemiluminescence in solution for alkaline phosphatase or luciferase assays.
BD FACSCalibur Flow Cytometer Becton Dickson FACSCalibur - four-colored flow cytometer.
FACSCalibur can quickly perform routine tasks including immunophenotyping, reticulocyte enumeration, DNA analysis, and absolute counting. And with four-color analysis and sorting capabilities, FACSCalibur is a highly sensitive tool, enabling laboratories to perform sophisticated cellular work in areas such as genetics, multicolor analysis, and immune function.

BIAcore BR-1000
Real-time BIA is a technology developed by Pharmacia Biosensor AB for monitoring biomolecular interactions in real time using a non-invasive optical detection principle based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR). The SPR response reflects a change in mass concentration at the detector surface as molecules bind or dissociate. No labeling of the interacting components is required and the technology is applicable to a wide range of experimental situations.
