Confocal Microscopy
The Leica SP2 AOBS,purchased in Augest of 2004, is a highly felxable and diverse confocal imaging system. Basic confocal as well as, spectral, time-dependent, FRET and FRAP imaging of almost all common probes is avalable.
Access to these instuments are by appointment only, please contact Angela Bardo for more information.
Other Light Microscopes
The Microscopy and Imaging Facility also houses various other light microscopes.
The Leica DM IRBE has recently been upgraded to allow for the acquisition of fluorescence images of many dyes, including DAPI, FITC, GFP, YFP, TRITC, and CY5.
The Leica S6D Stereo Microscope has magnification capabilities from 0.63-4.0X. It is equipped with the 150W light source and color digital camera for inspection and documentation.
The Leica DM LB compound microscope is equipped with a digital color camera and six dry objectives, several with phase and DIC capabilities.
